About Us

We’re two best friend/roomies who met in the woods and currently live in the city. We both have finally embraced the fact that we are Hufflepuffs, and that’s cool. One time we spent a five hour car trip learning all the words to The Confrontation in Les Miserables.

We share a passion for writing our truths and celebrating the inspirational people around us. We love culture, hope and art. And that is why we created this blog: to celebrate life and you.

 

First and foremost, I’m a huge bibliophile. I also love to write and watch movies. As of late, Parks & Recreation is my life. I am obsessed with pop culture, minus the Kardashians. I can barely keep up with myself. I’m in a love affair with Diet Coke and kittens. Not at the same time. At any time you can find my nose in a book or newspaper. I hope to one-day write (for) both. I recently graduated with a degree in journalism at Winona State University and I can’t wait to explore the infinite abyss.

I grew up wanting to be a Disney Princess, Broadway star, and a Hogwarts-certified wizard. Things haven’t changed much. Now I am a high school English teacher, journalist and traveler. I think that people are beautiful and that everyone’s story deserves to be told. I want to tell those stories.
